The Tennessee Department of Tourist Development recently unveiled a new self-guided driving tour called “MoonPies to Mountain Highs,” which spans 363 miles and includes 129 iconic and hidden gems in communities throughout 10 Middle and Southeast Tennessee counties. Thanks to the diligence of Cindy Milligan, Southeast Tennessee Tourism Director, Tennessee Valley Theatre is included as #100 on the list of stops.
The comprehensive brochure highlights attractions, culinary, agri-tourism, outdoor recreation, shopping, history, culture, music and other points of interest along the trail. Road signs will be installed throughout all of the designated trail routes in each of the 10 counties over the next six weeks to guide travelers to main and off-trail highlights included in the map brochure and website.
